- supplier SKU and buyer SKU;

- units per inner pack and carton where confirmed;
- quantity per SKU and total quantity; and
- sample status for that exact configuration.
The normal MOQ should never be assumed to apply per size, color, packaging version, or artwork. Ask the supplier to state how the 100 pieces may be split for the proposed order. If the split raises cost or lead time, the buyer can simplify before artwork and materials are released.
Separate Sample Timing From Production Timing

If a discrepancy appears, quarantine the affected lot and determine whether it is an artwork, packing, quantity, or product issue before relabeling.
A 100-piece trial succeeds when its evidence can support the next decision. Record customer questions, returns, installation feedback, packaging damage, missing accessories, and slow-moving sizes. Those results—not the existence of the first order—should shape the repeat-order mix.
